	Mitsui and HP Launch "Gold On Gold"

Purchase, NY – February 9, 1998 – The American subsidiary of Mitsui Chemicals America, Inc., Mitsui Advanced Media (Mitsui) announces the formation of their strategic partnership with Hewlett Packard Corporation (HP) to produce the newly-branded "Gold on Gold"® Compact Disc Recordable (CD-R) disc. The new "Gold on Gold"® logo is a trademark of premium CD-Recorable media exclusively for Mitsui's gold CD-R and HP's gold CD-R disc. Mitsui has agreed to license its "Gold on Gold"® logo exclusively to HP. The disc's gold reflective layer and Mitsui's superior patented Phthalocyanine dye combination result in the finest CD-R media on the market. The "Gold on Gold"® Mitsui Gold disc has been proven through independent industry testing to achieve the highest levels possible of compatibility, longevity and durability. These qualities have enabled the "MITSUI Gold" disc to be certified and/or approved by all CD-R drive manufacturers including HP.
